Illinois is just a few weeks away from beginning the application process for concealed carry permits. The last state in the country to allow concealed carry, many residents are counting the days until they can submit their paperwork.

Illinois State Police launched a website this week to help people with the application process. The website, located here, has a lot of great information to get you ready. You can now submit the Digital ID and fingerprints to help move the process along. As of right now, the applications are only available online. They are looking to change this to accommodate applicants that may not have the technology required to do everything via the website.

WSILTV reports that upwards of 400,000 applicants are anticipated in the first year. You can find more information on their website.
