Armed Robbery Suspect Chooses Concealed Carrier In Philly And It Doesn’t End Well For Him

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A would-be robber is now shot, thanks to his gross miscalculation on who to victimize.

Philly.com reports that a hopeful armed robber looked to victimize a concealed carrier, a 25-year-old man, and was shot for his trouble.

He was hit in the groin, and taken to the hospital by medics — he was arrested at the medical center.

A good time for all. Well. All except for the bad guy.

But this could be a lesson for Philadelphia legislature, as well as lawmakers in every other major city.

Guns, in the hands of law-abiding citizens, save lives. Period.

There is no guarantee, no guarantee whatsoever, that the 23-year-old man who attempted the robbery would have been satisfied with just robbing the stranger.

What if the victim had stood up for himself and his property and been shot? What if the robber just thought that killing the victim and eliminating the witness was a wiser option?

There is no telling what a criminal with a firearm will do, and that’s a fact.

The answer to that is not, and has never been, to trust our safety to police alone. It’s not only idiotic, but it is completely unfair to the police, who can’t be everywhere at once.

Responsibly-armed citizens are the way to prevent crime. Period.
