HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS — A man asleep on his couch early Tuesday morning awoke to two armed home invaders breaking down his door, but he wasn’t about to go down without a fight.

Upon entry, the two thugs immediately started shooting. That’s when the resident grabbed his handgun and started shooting back. He fired a total of 10 rounds, which was more than enough to send the bad guys running back to their getaway car. The armed intruders fired back on their way out, but luckily missed their target.

Three children and a woman were also at the residence at the time of the attempted home invasion. No one at the residence was hurt.

The family is said to have recently moved into the house, and no motive was clear as to why the armed men targeted them.

Carry at home.
