DENVER, COLORADO — A juvenile student allegedly shot and injured two school administrators at East High School in Denver.
The student, who was required to be patted down daily as part of a “safety plan” due to “previous behavior,” allegedly opened fire during the search on Wednesday morning, according to ABC News.
The incident occurred in the school’s office area, away from other students and staff.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, fled the scene, and a search is currently underway.
Denver police have not yet recovered the weapon.
One of the injured faculty members is in critical condition and undergoing surgery, while the other is in stable condition and was able to communicate with authorities.
The school was put on lockdown following the shooting.
Denver Public Schools later announced that they had received clearance to begin releasing students.
