[VIDEO] Pizza Delivery Driver Shoots Robbery Suspect In Face, May Lose Job At Papa John’s For Defending Herself

A 24-year-old woman was delivering pizzas in DeKalb County, GA when a man came out to her car, seemingly to retrieve the pizza.

The delivery driver was then forced out of her vehicle at gunpoint by the man as he attempted to rob her. He ordered her to the ground, and at that time she saw the opportunity to pull out her handgun from her pocket and fire at the robber, shooting him in the face.

The suspect, Donquaz Devon Stevenson, was found nearby with a gunshot wound to his face. He was arrested and charged with armed robbery. A second suspect left the scene and has yet to be found.

Now, after defending her life, the delivery driver is fearful that she may lose her job. Her employer, Papa John’s, frowns upon employees carrying firearms while on the clock. While most would tell her to look for another job on principle alone, it’s not always an option for everyone and since she has already expressed concern over losing her job, it seems that she would like to stay.

I encourage you to visit Papa John’s Facebook page and leave a note on their page that respectfully asks that they retain this young woman as an employee. Her courage and proactive personality are qualities that any employer should embrace.

If the word gets out that Papa John’s changes their ‘carry at work’ policy, maybe these criminals will move on to another company that knows they employ unarmed workers.
