ST. CLOUD, MINNESOTA — A hostage situation is unfolding at a Wells Fargo location in St. Cloud this evening, apparently stemming from a robbery. Police were called around 1:48 pm local time of an apparent robbery at the bank.
Police say that an undisclosed number of bank employees are being held hostage.
Police and SWAT are on the scene, and negotiations are said to be taking place.
No injuries have been reported.

I worked in banking for nearly 10 years, before my days of carrying a firearm. It was always in the back of everyone’s mind, though, that any day could see a robbery.
Most banks, including Wells Fargo, do not allow employees to carry firearms on the job.
Let’s hope this situation ends peacefully.
