Resolution is defined as, a firm decision to do or not to do something. People make resolutions each new year to begin a positive life direction. Common New Year’s Resolutions include; weight loss, saving money, exercising more and/or better job performance. What about a concealed carry resolution? Do we ever evaluate or current CCW practices and make improvements or changes for a stronger and more productive CCW lifestyle?
This is a great time to take a look and measure our concealed carry strengths and weaknesses. Everything from sound decision making to shooting proficiency to gear checks are on the table. I think we can all agree that being set in our ways is consistent and good but there is always room for improvement. Personally, as I created this list, I was forced to self evaluate my concealed carry system. I’ve been carrying a gun for a long time and yet several holes were discovered. A humbling experience to say the least.
This review is titled, “20 CCW New Year’s Resolutions for 2020.” Some of the resolutions are basic and others are advanced. If you are honest with yourself, you will find this list to challenge your concealed carry system. The list will also give some thoughts about what we can do collectively to advance our freedoms both locally and nationally. Whether you are a seasoned and experienced concealed carrier or a newbie, there is definitely something for everyone.
