A home intruder goes door to door in search of help after being shot in the neck for breaking into the wrong home

Around 2:30 am, a household wakes up to find three uninvited guests inside their home. The armed intruders that broke in were met with an angry man and his gun. The homeowner shoots at the suspects and hits 24-year-old Demetrius Robinson in the neck. The other two, a 17 and 16-year-old, flee the scene in their car and leave Robinson behind to fend for himself.

Robinson quickly realizes that he is in trouble once the blood starts flowing freely from his neck. He leaves the home he just broke into and decides to seek help from the neighbors by…wait for it…by breaking into their home as well.

“… we pushed him back outside,” the homeowner told the dispatcher. “He just busted in the front door… There’s blood on you. Okay, he might be shot. There’s blood on my husband. There’s blood everywhere. There’s blood everywhere on my porch.”

When police arrived, they had Robinson taken to the hospital by paramedics. The other two suspects were found shortly after in a parking lot after police were able to ping their cell phones.

Police said the homeowner was well within his rights to defend himself and his family, and should not be facing any charges.
