JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA — A man in his late 30’s suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound early Sunday morning on Broward Road, following a domestic dispute. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office indicated the shooting might have been in self-defense.
The man was lightly injured by the bullet and received medical attention at a hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Sergeant Karen Dukes of the JSO reported that no arrests have been made, and no charges are currently being considered. The investigation is ongoing, with both the alleged shooter and the victim having been interviewed.
Sgt. Dukes highlighted the potential for a self-defense claim in this case, which the authorities are thoroughly examining before deciding on any charges. She confirmed that there are no additional suspects in this incident.
