Philly Concealed Carrier Opens Fire On 2 Masked Men During Attempted Robbery, 1 Dead

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — In Philadelphia’s Pennsport neighborhood, an early morning incident led to the death of a young man along S. Water Street. Officials reported the incident occurring just before 5 a.m., involving a 38-year-old man who, while standing by his car, was approached by two masked individuals from a silver vehicle.

Believing he was the target of a robbery, the man drew his firearm and shot at the assailants. One was struck and collapsed across the street, while the other fled the scene. The wounded man, thought to be between 18 and 22 years old, succumbed to an abdominal injury and was declared deceased at the scene at 5:08 a.m.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities continue their investigation.
