Deputy And Civilian Shot Outside Tampa Nightclub, Sheriff Tells Suspect He’ll Hunt Him Down

TAMPA, FLORIDA — In the early hours of Sunday morning, a deputy and a civilian were shot outside Club Time in Marion County, Florida. Sheriff Billy Woods, in a social media video, stated that the incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. while the deputy was on security detail. The identity of the shooter remains unknown.

Sheriff Woods highlighted that about 100 people were present in the parking lot at the time of the shooting. He urged witnesses to come forward with any information, emphasizing the need for public assistance in identifying the perpetrator.

Both the deputy and the civilian injured in the shooting are expected to recover. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is fully committed to locating and apprehending the shooter. Woods issued a stern message to the shooter, calling them a coward and asserting his determination to bring them to justice.
