Altercation Between Two Neighbors Turns Deadly On Christmas Day, Possible Self-Defense Shooting

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — A fatal shooting occurred at a University District apartment complex on Monday evening. Around 5 p.m., police were alerted to the incident, which unfolded after an alleged altercation between two male neighbors. One resident reported that the deceased man had been aggressive towards her partner, leading to a defensive reaction.

The victim was found dead in the building’s lobby, near the elevators. Police quickly identified and detained a suspect, and they are currently investigating the nature of the conflict between the two men. The same resident disclosed that the victim had been troubling her family, leading to increased tensions and previous reports to the authorities.

Police have yet to confirm these details, focusing instead on understanding the relationship between the individuals involved. The investigation is ongoing.
