LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Two individuals and a dog were found deceased amidst the ruins of a burnt home early Sunday. The site also contained a significant amount of firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
The fire, reported early Sunday morning on Glenoaks Boulevard, caused some of the ammunition to explode, creating a sound pattern that initially led firefighters to believe they were under gunfire.
The inferno, which started in the main house, quickly spread to two other buildings, all suffering substantial damage. Firefighters managed to quell the blaze in just over an hour. Post-extinguishment, they discovered the bodies along with the firearms and ammunition.
The female victim was located in the home’s pool. It remains unclear whether the fire directly led to their deaths, and no other injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
