HOUSTON, TEXAS — An individual, presumed to be involved in a residential break-in, was injured by gunfire following a forced entry into a dwelling in the northern region of Harris County on Tuesday, as reported by the Office of Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.
Law enforcement officers from the constable’s office responded to an alert at 311 N. Vista Dr.
From initial inquiries, it appears that the resident alerted the authorities about a female forcibly entering her residence, prompting the resident to use her firearm in self-defense, injuring the alleged intruder.
Emergency medical services attended to the injured party at the location, although her medical status remains unclear.
