Man Dies In Drive-By Shooting In Daytona Beach, Police Searching For Suspect

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA — A man who was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting incident in Daytona Beach on Wednesday has passed away, as per the local law enforcement’s statement.

The incident took place at the intersection of Bellevue Avenue and S. Nova Road, as reported by authorities.

According to the police, the perpetrators targeted a blue automobile in the midst of traffic. The individual believed to be the assailant is said to be behind the wheel of a dark-colored Kia, and is presumed to be both armed and highly dangerous.

The victim of the incident, a 24-year-old man, was immediately transported to the hospital with severe injuries. However, despite the medical team’s best efforts, he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later and was declared dead.

In response to the incident, Chief Jakari Young labeled the violent act as “unacceptable.”

Police are searching for the vehicle and suspect, and following numerous leads.
