Drug Den Raid Yields Cash, Drugs, 11 Guns, And Murder Suspect From Another State

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A raid in the greater Third Ward area resulted in the seizure of illegal firearms, drugs, $145,000 in cash, and the arrest of a Louisiana murder fugitive, according to Harris County Precinct 2 Constable Jerry Garcia.

The operation, which began in the Pasadena area, targeted a house on the 2100 block of Live Oak early Thursday morning following a tip received months ago about drug activity, Garcia stated according to KTRK.

“Dozens” of deputies from Harris County Precinct 2 and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force participated in the raid, according to KTRK.

Constable Garcia revealed that windows were broken and gas was used to assist in the subduing of the occupants of the house raided.

Apparently, it worked.

Four individuals were arrested without incident, including 24-year-old Naun Armando Contreras, a murder suspect from Lake Charles, Louisiana, according to KTRK.

Three rifles and eight pistols were confiscated during the raid, with one reportedly modified to be fully automatic and equipped with a 50-round drum.

All arrested are believed to be involved in a high-level drug operation.

“These weren’t small guys. We don’t know how big they were, but they were definitely big. There was a lot of stuff being moved in and out of there,” said Garcia according to KTRK.

Neighbors reportedly suspected the house to be a drug den due to the high level of activity and were relieved the raid took place.

Officers also reportedly seized Xanax and hydrocodone pills, marijuana, and $145,000 in cash during the operation.
