ARARAT TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania State Police have arrested two individuals after a woman, who was wanted for probation violation, was found hidden under the floorboards of a kitchen.

The police were serving a warrant in the 3100 block of May Road in Susquehanna County when they encountered the situation, according to WBRE.

Initially, the homeowner, David Pickering, denied knowing the whereabouts of Tracee-Jo Shimer, who was wanted by the authorities.

However, the police found an odd and unleveled floorboard in the kitchen while searching the house.

Upon lifting it, they found Shimer hiding underneath the house. Both Pickering and Shimer were arrested and sent to the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility.

Shimer has been charged with avoiding arrest, and Pickering was charged with hindering apprehension. The police did not disclose the motive behind the concealment.
