Florida Homeowner Shoots, Kills Intruder

LYNN HAVEN, FLORIDA — A suspect is dead after he broke into a Lynn Haven home and was shot by the homeowner, according to reports.

The altercation occurred January 10th at around 6 a.m. in a residence in Lynn Haven, according to The Sacramento Bee. The suspect, identified only as a 23-year-old male, was reportedly discovered in the house by a resident.

The homeowner was alerted to the intruder and confronted the suspect. In the course of the altercation, the homeowner shot the suspect. The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Bay County Sheriff’s officials stated that the suspect was not known to the homeowner. Lynn Haven is located 100 miles southwest of Tallahassee.
