GRAPHIC WARNING: Horrific Video Released By Memphis Police Showing Tyre Nichols Police Encounter

Published

Five Memphis police officers have been charged with murder for the fatal beating of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols during a traffic stop on January 7th.

Video of the incident has been publicly released by the City of Memphis, showing the officers “savagely beating” Nichols for three minutes in an assault that has been compared to the 1991 police beating of Rodney King in Los Angeles. The video is one hour and seven minutes long.

The videos are extremely graphic and users must exercise caution as to whether or not they want to view them. The department has uploaded the videos to their Vimeo account, which can be viewed below. Additionally, you can click here for the department Vimeo account.

Memphis, along with other cities, are concerned with possible riots after the video release, and police across the country are standing by for that possibility.
