Published

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA — Police say 23-year-old Florida resident Shavell Jordan Jones shot and killed his girlfriend after an argument, as well as three others inside the home, including a 4-year-old child. A woman and two other children inside the home survived.

Jones left the house the previous night after an argument, and police say he returned the next day with a gun.

Deputies found the bodies of a 49-year-old woman, two of her adult daughters – 28 and 29 – and her 4-year-old granddaughter. All had fatal gunshot wounds to the head.

No instances of domestic violence was known between the couple, and Jones did not have a criminal record, aside from one misdemeanor for failing to appear.

Jones was found in the home as well, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was located alive, and taken to the hospital for surgery. If he survives his injuries, he will face murder charges.
