Texans Stone Gunman To Death After He Opened Fire On Crowd Of People, Killing 1 And Injuring 3

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — A group of people came under attack in a backyard following an argument with a man, who left and then returned with a gun. Another argument took place, and that’s when police say the man pulled out a gun and opened fire.

“The shooter turned and fired at other people,” police said. “A group picked up concrete landscaping bricks and started ‘throwing them’ at the shooter.”

Police said, at some point, the shooter was caught by the group and either fell or was taken down to the ground. But the gunman continued to fire, striking at least two more people.

The gunman and one other person died at the scene. Three others were taken to the hospital with injuries.

You do what you have to in order to survive, and using nearby items as self-defense tools is not a bad idea, especially if you aren’t armed.

Throwing objects require you to be relatively close to the attacker, which can leave you vulnerable. Having a gun, however, lets you create distance while still allowing you the chance to defend yourself.

All in all, this situation is terrible but I’m glad to see the crowd jump into action and stop this gunman before he was able to do even more damage.
