11-Year-Old Boy Shoots Man Attacking His Pregnant Mom At Hotel

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA — An 11-year-old defended his pregnant mother during a hotel room invasion by shooting the attacker. The incident, which occurred at the InTown Suites in west Charlotte, involved the suspect breaking into the room late on March 13 and assaulting the 27-year-old expectant mother, causing bruises and scratches.

The child intervened by shooting the assailant, who, along with the mother, required hospital treatment. Authorities, highlighting the situation as domestic violence, confirmed the mother knew her attacker.

The boy faces no charges, while police have issued warrants for the assailant, including charges for assault by strangulation, assault on an unborn child, and false imprisonment.
