ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA — A young mother was gunned down while sitting inside her vehicle with her two young children, and police are still searching for an unknown suspect. The shooting happened around 5:30 pm Saturday on 60th St. South.
“Our officers arrived here and found Joana Peca deceased inside her vehicle, suffering from what appears to be an apparent gunshot wound,” said Sandra Bentil, a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Police Department.
There are very few details on the incident, and police are asking the public for help in trying to bring the person responsible to justice.
