Yesterday, we shared a video that went viral, and that video showed the majority of a shooting that took place back in February. 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed, after seemingly being hunted down by two men who thought he fit the description of a person responsible for multiple robberies in the area.
On Wednesday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said Gregory McMichaels, a former law enforcement official, and his son, Travis McMichaels, were arrested in connection with the February 23 shooting of Ahmaud Arbery.
According to a statement from the GBI, the men “were both charged with murder and aggravated assault. The McMichaels were then taken into custody and will be booked into the Glynn County Jail.”
The father and son, who are said to be involved with the pick-up truck, first called 911 to report a “black man running down the street,” according to News4Jax.
After that, the father and son seemed to have made the decision to take matters into their own hands.
The 64-year-old called his son and they armed themselves, according to the report. The police report says Gregory McMichael told officers he and his son first tried to stop Arbery by shouting, “Stop, stop, we want to talk to you!”
At that point, the father claims that Arbery began to attack his son, and began to struggle over the gun.
There are a total of three shots. The first shot seems to come from the father, who is situated in the bed of the pickup truck. The second and third shot come from the son, during the struggle over the gun.

Now, we wait to see the outcome.Hopefully justice will be served, because from what we see, these men are not responsible gun owners and do not reflect the values and actions of actual responsible gun owners such as ourselves.
