TACOMA, WASHINGTON — A woman was walking to her apartment when a man approached her from behind and began to strangle her.
“She stated that she was walking to her apartment when the defendant, a stranger to her, appeared from a dark corner behind her and placed both of his hands around her neck and squeezed forcefully,” the declaration for determination of probable cause said.

A man nearby witnessed what was happening and grabbed his gun while calling 911. He confronted the man and yelled for him to let go of the woman, which he did once he saw the gun.
Police arrived and were able to take the suspect into custody, who was making sexual references while proclaiming, “I am God.”
Luckily for this woman, the armed citizen was able to come to her aid and get this creep off of and away from her.
This is why we promote concealed carry, and why it’s so important to pay attention to the things and people that are around us as we go about our daily lives.
Had this armed citizen not stepped in, there’s no telling what could have happened to this woman.
