Sheriff’s New Sign Has People Talking, And Bad Guys Thinking Twice

Published

HARRIS COUNTY, GEORGIA — A new sign welcomes visitors to this Georgia county, and it’s making waves across social media. Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley, who is no stranger to this type of thing, had the sign made as a statement to the county’s readiness to any potential threats.

The sign reads;

Our citizens have concealed weapons. If you kill someone, we might kill you back. We have one jail and 356 cemeteries. Enjoy your stay!

A county with this much love for concealed carry is one that we can stand behind. Sometimes, signs work. Let’s look at the difference:

Gun Free Zone Sign

Tells everyone that guns are not allowed. This sets up the bad guy pretty well, as he or she can be near certain that they will be the only ones in the immediate area with a firearm. No resistance = many victims.

We Carry Concealed Sign

Tells everyone that guns are plentiful in the hands of responsible citizens. This sets up the bad guys for disaster, and would make even the most foolish think twice about committing any type of illegal act, since they would be under the impression that someone with a firearm is always close by.
