Ex-Boyfriend Shot During Break-in And Assault After Being Angry About Break-up

Published

SAN ANTONIO, TX — One jilted lover turned to forceful entry and violence to get over his feelings concerning his recent break-up with his girlfriend.

Unfortunately for him, someone in his ex-girlfriend’s place was armed, and not having it with him.

As News 4 San Antonio reports:

The shooting happened at a home on the 7200 block of Glen Bay around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. According to Lieutenant with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, an ex-boyfriend came over to the home angry about his breakup with his ex-girlfriend. Investigators say he began breaking windows to make his way into the home.

They said once he was inside, he began to assault his ex-girlfriend. Someone else inside the home then grabbed a gun and shot the ex-boyfriend twice. He suffered gun shot wounds to his shoulder and abdomen and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

The shooter is being questioned, but it does not appear that person will face any charges.

It also appears that the boyfriend will be charged — but that’s hardly surprising, given his conduct.

It is extremely fortunate that there was someone prepared to defend this woman as she was being attacked — although she may well also be a gun owner, it sure wasn’t doing her any good here.

Maybe, this awful incident will show her the need for responsible, armed preparedness for emergencies just like these.
