SOMERSET, KENTUCKY — A man from Somerset, Kentucky named Jared Anderson will not face charges for shooting another man who broke into his vehicle, according to reports.
The Pulaski County Grand Jury returned a “No True Bill” against Anderson, indicating that he acted in self-defense, according to WJRS News.
According to the law enforcement, in October of the previous year Anderson spotted someone inside his SUV parked in his driveway.
When he confronted the intruder, a 49-year-old man named Gregory N. Ramsey, a confrontation ensued and Anderson shot Ramsey.
Ramsey was declared dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office. Anderson’s attorney stated that the grand jury believed that Anderson acted in self-defense during the incident.
