Graphic Warning: Do Not Escalate A Situation

We teach to avoid conflict, and do whatever possible to deescalate a bad situation. That’s not on everyone’s mind, though, and provoking or escalating an already tense situation can lead to terrible outcomes.

The video below shows a domestic dispute between two men, and things get out of control in just seconds. Walking away, not poking the bear, and remaining calm are all things that would have likely resulted in all parties going home at the end of that day.

Instead, one man died and the other arrested, and a family torn apart.

As armed citizens, we should always be doing what we can to walk a straight line. Little arguments can turn into violent explosions if you simply catch someone on a bad day.
