#DIGTHERIG – Ken and his Uberti Schofield Wells Fargo in a Hunter 3325 Holster

1. Uberti Schofield Wells Fargo and 2 HKS Speedloaders

2. Hunter 3325 Holster cross draw

3. I have carried single action revolvers since I was 17 years old. I am 54 now. While I have a host of other pistols and revolvers that I could carry, I have confidence in the .45 Colt cartridge and I can quickly draw and reload the this pistol in this configuration. It fits nicely under my vest. I also qualified for my Concealed Handgun Permit with a pair of single action revolvers. This is the setup that I carry in my home and on my property. If I am going to be away, I will often carry a second pistol with me. If I am in a situation where an outer garment is not appropriate, I will carry a pair of SIG P220s in a 5.11 holster T-shirt.

Normally, I will choose to carry a second pistol rather than a spare magazine or speedloaders. In most cases, I can draw and fire the second weapon before I can reload the first. However, the main advantage of a second weapon is that it gives me options as to which hand to use in the case of injury or if I have to be discrete. I usually do not carry a second pistol when I am at home or on my property since I am usually not far from other weapons. Due to my disability, most of my time now is spent at home or around the house, so the pictured rig is what I would be wearing 80+% of the time.
