Grocery Store Clerk Shoots And Kills Man After Being Shot

ATLANTA, GEORGIA — In an early morning incident, a confrontation at Star Groceries led to an exchange of gunfire resulting in one fatality, according to law enforcement officials.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Saturday at the store, which is situated at 1955 Campbellton Road. During the altercation, the store clerk was shot. In response, the clerk returned fire, which resulted in the death of the assailant.

Upon their arrival, police discovered a man on the store’s floor with gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel, upon their arrival, pronounced the individual deceased.

The injured store clerk managed to transport himself to a hospital and is currently recuperating at Grady Memorial Hospital. Police are actively investigating the details surrounding the shooting.
