Overnight on Chicago’s Northwest Side, six individuals became victims of armed robberies in four distinct events.
In most incidents, a white sedan arrived, from which four to five males disembarked. Two were armed with rifles and the others with handguns, subsequently demanding possessions from their targets. In one occurrence, an assailant assaulted a female victim before taking her belongings.
The timeline and locations of these incidents are as follows:
- At about 10:30 p.m., a 29-year-old was targeted in Ukrainian Village, on West Thomas Street.
- Two minutes later, three males faced robbers in Logan Square, on North Albany Avenue.
- Close to 10:55 p.m., a security guard was attacked and robbed on West Warren Boulevard, Near West Side.
- Shortly after 12:00 a.m., in Bucktown, two armed individuals robbed a 45-year-old man on West Armitage Avenue. The culprits later fled in a black Chrysler 300, heading east on the same avenue.
As of now, the authorities have made no arrests in connection to these events. Detectives from Areas Three and Five are spearheading the investigation.
