3 Philadelphia Officers Shot, Suspect Dead After Incident

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — Three police officers were injured in a shooting in Northeast Philadelphia on Wednesday evening. The incident took place around 7 p.m. on the 7500 block of Whitaker Avenue.

Two officers sustained arm injuries, while another was wounded in the hand. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The suspect died, although it’s unclear if he was shot by police or took his own life.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting and details about the incident remain undisclosed by authorities.
