SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA — Kevin Parkourana, a 31-year-old man with an extensive criminal record from San Jose, California, was arrested and identified as the perpetrator behind a violent outbreak involving multiple stabbings and carjackings. This spate of violence took place on Thursday afternoon in San Jose and Milpitas, leading to the deaths of three people and injuring three more.

Parkourana began his rampage near his residence at Kooser Road and Dellwood Way in San Jose around 3:10 p.m. His crime spree spanned over an hour, during which he stabbed individuals in two separate incidents and stole a vehicle, which he used to run over pedestrians. One of the stabbing victims succumbed to injuries, while the remaining victims were hospitalized with varying conditions. Two pedestrians lost their lives as well when Parkourana intentionally hit them with a stolen car.

Charges of homicide, carjacking, and attempted murder have been levied against Parkourana, who is currently in custody at Santa Clara County jail. Past court records indicate he has faced charges on multiple occasions and has had at least two restraining orders against him.

The reason behind his actions, and whether he knew any of his victims, remain unknown. Following the gruesome events, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan expressed deep regret for the victims’ families on Twitter, sharing that he was “sickened” by the violence and extending his sympathies to those whose lives have been irrevocably affected.
