Mass Shooting At Louisville Bank Leaves At Least 4 Dead, 8 Injured; Suspect Shot And Killed By Police

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Police say at least 4 people are dead and 8 others injured in a mass shooting this morning at Old National Bank. The incident occurred this morning around 8:30am local time.

Police responded to the call and when they arrived, encountered an active shooter. Gunshots were exchanged, and the suspect was shot and killed. During the exchange, two officers were injured, one critically.

Video posted to social media shows police responding to the incident, and you can clearly hear gunshots in the background.

Police say the suspect appeared to be an employee or former employee of the bank.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said during a press conference that two of his close friends were killed in the shooting, and another injured.

“This is awful,” said Beshear. “I have a very close friend that didn’t make it today. And I have another close friend who didn’t either, and another who’s at the hospital who I hope is going to make it through.”

This is a developing story.
