Man Arrested In Hookah Lounge Shooting That Left 1 Dead And 13 Injured In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — A man is behind bars after police say he is the suspect in a deadly shooting that happened at a hookah lounge just off the strip after an argument occurred between two groups. As a result, 1 person was killed and another 13 were wounded.

Lee Frank Wilson, 44, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of open murder and 12 counts of attempted murder, NBC affiliate KSNV of Las Vegas reported.

A defense attorney who represented Wilson in a previous shooting case in 2019 did not immediately respond to messages about whether he represents him now.

Police say the event was a private party held at the location, when an altercation occurred. At least one person from both sides opened fire, turning the scene into chaos.

The person who died was identified as Demetreus Beard, 33. It was not clear what the relationship to Wilson was, if any, or what the conflict was about.

Removing yourself from the situation is something that everyone there should have done, especially the folks who were a little too hot-headed. You can get mixed up quickly in a bad situation and at the first sigh of trouble, that should mean you’re heading out the door to a safe and more calm location, because bad things can happen in an instant.
