Drivers Come To Officer’s Aid After He Is Attacked By Man On Highway

Published

An officer had stopped a man who was walking down the busy I-4 highway in Florida after receiving multiple calls from drivers. Wanting to move the man off the highway, an officer responds and talks with him. The man doesn’t want the officer’s help and winds up punching him in the face, which leads to a struggle.

During the struggle, as both are fighting on the ground in the highway’s median, multiple drivers stop and get out of their vehicles to assist the officer.

These are dangerous situations for officers, the worst of which is the bad guy gaining access to the officer’s firearm. This is where an excellent retention holster comes into play, which shouldn’t allow easy access to the firearm.

These alert citizens who jumped into action did a great job assisting this officer.
