[GRAPHIC WARNING] CA Officer Charged In Shooting Death Of Shoplifter With Bat

The job of an officer is a tough one, even more so nowadays. Decisions need to be made quickly, and sometimes those decisions are difficult.

Back in April, a few officers in California were responding to a Walmart after receiving a call of a shoplifter with a bat. He didn’t comply with police orders to drop the bat, and a taser wasn’t effective in stopping the threat. An officer fired a single shot, which proved to be deadly.

That officer is now facing charges of voluntary manslaughter as a result.

Take a look at the video, and make a determination yourself, based on what we know. Do you think that the charges are justified? Do you feel that the officer will be found guilty? Chime in below.

Well obviously the officer should have immediately holstered his weapon and let the shoplifter strike him first. Either that, or turned and held the door for the shoplifter. It’s California, right?
