HOUSTON, TEXAS — An armed son came to the aid of his father and stepmother after police say they were attacked by a man as they left a restaurant, after having problems with that same man inside,
Alfredo Rodriguez and his wife had been enjoying a night out at the Ostioneria Michoacan bar and restaurant near Fuqua, in southeast Houston when a man approached them while they were dancing.
It is alleged the man proceeded to grope Rodriguez’s wife who slapped him in return. The couple then decided to leave and make their way home.
However, the man followed the couple into the car park and began punching Rodriguez and grabbing his wife, reported ABC13.

When police reviewed video, the husband seemed to be unconscious after bring hit by the man. As the son came out of the restaurant, he saw the attack taking place. Fearing for their safety, he grabbed his gun and shot the attacker, identified as a man in his 30’s.
That man was taken to the hospital but would later die from his injuries.

During the incident, the son seems to have shot his stepmother in the leg. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Police let the father and son go after questioning, and their story of events lined up with video evidence.
No charges are expected.
