Teens Shot With Real Gun While Trying To Rob Liquor Store With Fake Gun

Published

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA — Their gun didn’t go boom, but their intended victim’s gun did. A trio of teens learned the hard way that crime doesn’t pay, and at least one of them was shot during their attempted heist of a liquor store while armed with a replica gun.

Officials say three young men barged into the store carrying at least one weapon. The store clerk took out his own gun and fired at the suspects — shooting one of them.

The injured teen was taken to the hospital and is expected to be alright. His two buddies took off, and police are still searching for them.

At the scene, police found a replica gun, presumably belonging to the trio.

Giving credit where credit is due, they tried to knock off one of the few places that’s seeing heavy traffic during the pandemic. People like their booze, and have been buying it in large quantities. That translates to money in the register.

Except they forgot one key fact: Some people are armed, and they refuse to be a victim.
