Brazen Thug Attempts Home Invasion, Armed Homeowner Gives Him a Few New Piercings

BATON ROUGE, LA — A man was shot multiple times when attempting to invade a Baton Rouge residence earlier this month, WBRZ reports.

In fact, the suspect, who was strong enough to kick in a door prior to his acquired wounds, was so badly wounded that he was unable to complete his attempted escape.

As WBRZ reports:

Police are investigating a home invasion on Victoria Drive that sent one person to the hospital.

Tuesday around 5 a.m. authorities say a 34-year-old man kicked in the door and forced his way into an apartment that was occupied by three people. One of the residents armed himself with a handgun and shot the suspect multiple times. According to a release, the suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but collapsed outside the apartment.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. After he is released, the suspect will be booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for home invasion…

Daniel Hinton, 34, is accused of breaking into an apartment on Victoria Drive on March 6. Arrest reports say that Hinton has a history of armed robbery arrests.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is not the safest place to live in the world. In fact, according to the Neighborhood Scout, the city is safer than only four percent of United States cities, and their violent crime rate is almost two and a half times the national average.

In other words, it’s a very, very good place to be armed in, should you need or choose to be there.

Given his history of armed robbery arrests, it would be unsurprising that the forceful entry of the apartment would result in a pretty violent assault or brandishing of a weapon until he got what he wanted — now, however, all he’s got to look forward to for a while is some quality jail time.
