Burglar Targets House With Infant Child, Receives Deadly Dose of Miami Heat

MIAMI, FLORIDA — A burglar was shot and killed by the father of an infant boy after the would-be thief broke into the family’s home, reports NBC Miami.

The burglar, who was caught in the act, met his demise Wednesday because a man was at home in the middle of the day with his three-year-old son.

Police said that the man heard someone attempting to break in and grabbed his firearm.

The burglar was shot while attempting the break in.

Police have said that the homeowner was questioned for some time, but was later released. It does not appear as though any charges will be filed against him — and we couldn’t be happier.

Neither the name of the man or the burglar have been released to the public so far.

Now, there is a thing or two we can pick up from this, aside from the general “stay alert” warning:

1 – Burglars don’t particularly care what time of day it is, so long as they think they can get away with it.

Sometimes, they don’t even care if the house is occupied. The fact that this break-in occurred at noon on a weekday just goes to show — there is no designated “safe” time. This is as close to “broad daylight” as it gets, folks.

2 – Burglars also don’t care if there’s an infant in the house.

Protect your loved ones, folks. It’s a jungle out there, and our families don’t deserve to be the ones paying for it.
