[VIDEO] Colorado Homeowner Shoots And Kills Home Intruder

A man that was home alone Friday morning when he was faced with a home intruder who had somehow broken into the home.

Armed, the homeowner shot and killed the intruder. Right after shooting the intruder, the homeowner ran over to a neighbor’s home for help and to dial 911. Neither the homeowner or the intruder’s names have been released.

A school down the road was briefly placed in lock-down after the incident.

Police say that the homeowner’s actions will likely fall under the state’s “Make My Day” law which allows the use of deadly force against a home intruder, whether that intruder was armed or not.
