[WATCH] Guy With Hatchet Ends Up Begging Clerk Not To Call Cops In Today’s Instant Karma Served

PORTLAND, OREGON — Criminals do what they do with some expectation that they’ll be caught, but many of them don’t always think about what they would do if faced with an armed citizen.

The guy in this video found out quickly that his target had a gun, and all he had was a lousy hatchet.

That he set on the counter and gave to the clerk.

Then got on his knees and begged the clerk not to call the police.

Local media tells us how it went down;

The April 28 incident at the Oak Grove Plaid Pantry was captured on surveillance video and just released by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

The video shows a man walk into the Plaid Pantry around 1 a.m., walk up to the counter and pull a 12-inch hatchet from his pants. He shows it to the clerk, who then pulls out a gun.

As the clerk picked up the phone to call 911, the robber slid the hatchet across the counter, put his hands up and reportedly said, “I’m sorry. I’ll leave.” He then ran out of the store.

That’s a quick and effective way to stop an armed robber from doing what he came there to do. Unfortunately, he took off and police aren’t quite sure who he is.

We can only hope that it was a valuable lesson for this criminal. Next time, he may not be so lucky. After all, the clerk had every right to shoot.
