AURORA, ILLINOIS — The sad truth is out about the mass shooting that happened at Henry Pratt Company, a manufacturing plant in Illinois.

5 people, all presumed to be employees of the company, were shot and killed by a lone gunman. There were also 5 police officers that were injured during the mayhem as they raced to the scene to save lives.

The suspect has been identified, but we will not share his name here with you, as our policy clearly states that we do not publish the names or photos of these mass killers.

The suspect was shot and killed by police. Police say no motive is known at this time.

Some reports indicate that the gunman’s mother told reporters her son was laid off two weeks ago and has been “stressed out”.

Further reports share the following information;

ABC 7 reported through law enforcement sources that Martin “was told Friday he was being fired from the company where he had worked for about 15 years as an assembler” and opened fire with a gun during his termination meeting, continuing to shoot throughout the plant. Martin’s family told local reporters that he was laid off.

According to witnesses, the gunman was an employee of the company for over 10 years, and today started just like any other day at work.

The first officers to arrive at the scene were shot at by the suspect as they attempted to approach the building.

The victim names in today’s horrific incident have not been released.

We will report on more information as it becomes available.

In the meantime, keep your firearms close and stay safe.
