[VIDEO] Cat & Whiteny Potgeter: Rights With Responsibility

Published

A firearms owners, we have responsibilities that come along with the firearms we own and love. NRA Women is featuring mother and daughter teacher/training team Cat & Whitney Potgeter in their Tips & Tactics video series, and they touch on this topic in their 2nd of six videos in the series.

Be sure to visit their Facebook page and Website for more information.

Cat is often asked how she began her career as a firearm instructor and why she chooses to carry. She decided to take positive ownership of her security after a robbery occurred at her home a few years ago, prompting her to complete numerous firearm training courses, become an NRA-certified instructor and obtain her concealed-carry permit. Inspired by her mother, Whitney followed in her footsteps and together they teach gun owners how to exercise their right to bear arms safely and responsibly.

Like Cat and Whitney, it’s important to remember that with the right to own and use a firearm comes a great deal of responsibility. This includes always handling your firearm safely, seeking regular training past minimum requirements, and most importantly, that in a life-threatening confrontation, your firearm is always your last resort.
