MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — Tragedy struck Tennessee when a man lost his life days after an attempted carjacking escalated to a shooting. The Memphis Police Department reports that two armed suspects, masked and operating a stolen car, initiated the conflict. These suspects attempted to seize another vehicle occupied by two individuals.
In the ensuing chaos, one of the carjackers opened fire on the driver, who was trying to escape the volatile situation. After their failed carjacking, the culprits fled, successfully commandeering another vehicle nearby.
The wounded driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, only to succumb to his injuries later in the week. Authorities have named the perpetrators as Daniel Robinson, 20, and Tayshun Wooten, 17. The Memphis PD was successful in their pursuit of these criminals, apprehending both suspects.
Facing serious charges that encompass carjacking and first-degree murder, the futures of Robinson and Wooten hang in the balance as justice seeks to hold them accountable for their violent actions.
