LOUISVILLE, KY — When a thug (presumably) tried to make a quick buck robbing a business in Louisville, Kentucky soon found out that some people just refuse to be victims, no matter how scary you try to be.
As WAVE reports:
WAVE 3 News reports police were called to the 8600 block of Preston Highway at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, according to police.
A report from LMPD states a man tried to rob a business at that location. The suspect and an employee got into an altercation and the suspect was shot, police said.
The suspect was taken to University of Louisville Hospital and is expected to survive. No details were released about charges in the case.
Now, is it certain that the altercation was based off of a robbery? No. There is not enough information to know.
But it certainly seems like the most likely option. If that is the case, then this employee was extremely lucky to have been armed and alert at 7:15 in the morning.
“Lucky” is not the right word. “Well-prepared,” perhaps.
We’ve seen it once, we’ve seen it a thousand times — it always pays to be armed at work. Do so if your employer permits you.
In addition to that, make sure you have the gun and the gear you need to be sure that you’re going to carry that firearm every day.
No judgment here — we’ve all felt like we ought not be bothered to bring our defensive tool to the quick trip to the gas station. We just have to be disciplined enough to overcome the laziness.
