Homeowner Uses Shotgun To Shoot Man Who Was Firing Into Home

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — An arrest has been made by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office following a gunfight that occurred early Friday morning. Savion Grimmage, who sustained gunshot injuries, was apprehended after receiving medical treatment.

The incident transpired shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Exodus Drive in the Plantersville area, where shots were reportedly fired into a residence and a vehicle. The homeowner retaliated with a shotgun, striking Grimmage.

Following his arrest, Grimmage was transferred to the Georgetown County Detention Center, and charges against him are forthcoming.

Authorities are seeking further information and have urged anyone with knowledge of the event to contact them at 843-546-5102.
