TOLEDO, OHIO — Authorities are conducting an investigation into a suspected break-in and subsequent shooting incident in west Toledo, which occurred early on Tuesday.

The incident was reported at an apartment located on Brooke Park Drive in the 1400 block, around 1:20 a.m. A resident there reported discharging a firearm at someone who allegedly broke into their home. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found evidence of a bullet passing through a wall shared between two apartments. Fortunately, the apartment where the bullet ended up was empty at the time of the incident.
